Remedy
Head to the signup page and create your account in under 30 seconds, no credit card required. Once you are in, the onboarding walkthrough guides you through uploading your first video, reviewing AI-detected clips, and exporting. Most users have their first clip exported within 5 minutes of signing up.

What are the system and browser requirements?

ClipForge is a fully web-based platform, so there is nothing to install. It works on any modern browser including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. All processing happens in the cloud, so your computer specs do not affect rendering speed or output quality.

How long does it take to process a video?
Remedy
Processing time depends on video length, not on your plan: every plan shares the same queue. A typical 60-minute video processes in 3 to 5 minutes. Shorter videos under 15 minutes usually complete in under 90 seconds.

What do I get on the Free plan?
Remedy
The Free plan includes 3 videos per month with a 30-minute maximum length per video, 720p export quality, AI clip detection, one caption style, and vertical reframing. Exported clips include a small ClipForge watermark. It is a fully functional plan you can use indefinitely, no trial expiration.

Is there a steep learning curve?

Not at all. ClipForge is designed so that no editing experience is necessary. The guided onboarding walks you through each step, and the AI handles clip detection, reframing, and captioning automatically. Most users are comfortable with the full workflow after processing their first video.

How does the AI detect the best moments in a video?
Remedy
Claude reads the full timestamped transcript of your video and picks the moments with the strongest emotional peaks, hooks, stories and standalone value. It works from the words, including cues such as [laughter] that the transcript records; it does not measure audio levels or analyze the picture. Each clip comes back with a 0-100 virality score and a short reason it was picked, and you review and trim every suggestion.

Does ClipForge use my videos to train its AI models?
Remedy
No. Your video content is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve ClipForge AI models. Your uploads are processed solely to generate your clips and are not shared with any third party. This is a firm policy commitment, not just a default setting.

What is the AI Hook Writer and how does it work?
Remedy
The AI Hook Writer uses Claude AI to generate 5 alternative opening hooks for each clip, each targeting a different psychological trigger: curiosity ("You won't believe what happened..."), shock (a surprising stat or statement), story (narrative opening), humor (irony or self-deprecation), and authority ("After 10 years in this field..."). Each variant includes the target platforms it performs best on and an explanation of the persuasion mechanism. Available on Pro and Agency plans.

How does vertical reframing work?
Remedy
When you export a clip at 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5, ClipForge scales the frame to fill the new shape and crops from the center. Nothing detects or follows a speaker yet, so a subject near the edge of a wide shot can fall outside the crop. Footage framed near the middle, such as a single talking head, keeps its subject in view.

How are auto-captions generated and how accurate are they?
Remedy
Captions come from OpenAI's Whisper speech-to-text model, which supports multiple languages and handles filler words, speaker overlap, and background noise. Accuracy depends on your audio: OpenAI publishes Whisper's error rates by language and condition in the Whisper research paper (PDF), and ClipForge has not run a separate evaluation of its own, so we quote no figure here. Every caption is editable before export, and reviewing proper nouns and technical vocabulary is worth the minute it takes.

ClipForge supports all major video formats including MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, WMV, and FLV. In most cases you can upload directly from your recording software or download folder without any conversion step. If you encounter an unsupported format, our support team can help identify a quick workaround.

What is the maximum video length and upload size?
Remedy
Maximum video length depends on your plan: 30 minutes on Free, 2 hours on Creator, and 4 hours on Pro and Agency. Upload file size is capped at 2 GB across all plans. For files larger than 2 GB, we recommend compressing with Handbrake or a similar tool before uploading, this does not affect clip quality.

What output formats and aspect ratios are available?

ClipForge exports in MP4 (H.264) by default, which is universally compatible with all social platforms. You can choose from three aspect ratios: 9:16 vertical (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels), 1:1 square (Instagram feed, LinkedIn), and 16:9 landscape (YouTube, websites). Each export includes platform-specific encoding presets.

What export resolution can I expect?

The Free plan exports at 720p. All paid plans (Creator, Pro, Agency) export at full 1080p resolution, which meets the recommended specs for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. Exports are encoded at high bitrate to preserve visual quality, even for fast-motion or text-heavy content.

ClipForge offers three caption styles: Bold Pop (large bold white type with a dark outline), Karaoke (larger yellow display type) and Minimal (smaller plain white type). Where do virality scores show up, and how do I use them?
Remedy
Every project lists its detected clips highest score first, so the strongest candidates are at the top when you start reviewing. On Pro and Agency, the Clip Generator in AI Studio ranks the clips from all of your projects the same way, newest first when two scores tie, lets you set a length range and how many clips to show, and queues the ones you select for export together. A score ranks your own clips against each other; how it is reached is answered under Virality score, in the AI section.

Can I batch export clips with platform-specific presets?
Remedy
Yes. On paid plans, you can select multiple clips and export them all at once with presets optimized for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn. Each preset applies the correct aspect ratio, resolution, and encoding settings for that platform. This saves significant time when repurposing one long video across multiple channels.

A brand kit holds your caption font and colours, your logo, and intro and outro cards. Every plan can build one and preview it on its own footage. Exports apply it by plan: captions in your font and colours from Creator; your logo, intro and outro cards and lower thirds from Pro. Agency adds a brand kit for each client.

Yes. Your first paid subscription starts with a 14-day free trial of everything in that tier, and no credit card is required to start it. Add a payment method before the trial ends to keep the plan; if you do not, the account returns to the Free plan and nothing is charged. The Free plan itself has no trial and no expiry.

What is the watermark policy?

The Free plan includes a small ClipForge watermark in the corner of exported clips. All paid plans (Creator, Pro, Agency) export completely watermark-free. From Pro, an export can carry your brand kit's logo in the corner, and Agency keeps a brand kit for each client, so each client's clips carry their brand.

How are my uploaded videos stored and protected?
Remedy
All uploaded videos are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3. Videos are stored in isolated cloud storage with strict access controls. Only your account can access your content, ClipForge staff cannot view your videos without explicit authorization during a support request.

What is the data retention policy?

Uploaded source videos are automatically deleted 30 days after processing unless you explicitly choose to retain them in your library. Exported clips remain available in your account for as long as your subscription is active. You can manually delete any file at any time, and deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Yes. ClipForge is fully compliant with GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and CPRA regulations. You can request a complete export or deletion of your personal data at any time. We maintain a detailed privacy policy and data processing agreement available on our legal page.

Does ClipForge share my video content with third parties?
Remedy
No. Your video content is never shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party. ClipForge does not use your content for advertising, training, or any purpose beyond generating your clips. Our infrastructure partners (cloud storage, CDN) process encrypted data only and have no access to your actual content.

What should I do if my video fails to process?
Remedy
Processing can fail on corrupted files or unusual codecs. First, try re-uploading the file. If the issue persists, check that your file is under the 2 GB size limit and in a supported format. You can also try re-encoding the video with Handbrake. If none of that works, email support@strategia-x.com with the error message and we will investigate.

What is your refund policy?
Remedy
Your first paid subscription has a 14-day money-back guarantee: email support@strategia-x.com within its first 14 days for a full refund. It applies once per customer, and not to later subscriptions, upgrades or renewals. After that, partial billing periods are not refunded, but you can cancel at any time and your plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle with no further charges (Terms 6.5).
